Thankfully, 'all' the 3pm Saturday kick offs have returned to the beIN Sports broadcast schedule, but why did they have to be restricted in the first place ? They had to be restricted because IPTV Pirates were/are hijacking the live football broadcasts and re-broadcasting using the internet. The Pirates are targeting pub owners in the UK who are signing up to allow their customers to watch the games in their pubs. Apart from the fact that doing this breaches copyright and is therefore, illegal, it's common knowledge that in the UK, the broadcast of 3pm kick offs on a Saturday has always been restricted to one game (to protect the football club's turnstyle footfall).
Further, pub landlords who are paying Sky (in some cases, £1600+ per month) to legally show one 3pm kick off on Saturdays, do not like seeing their pubs empty at 2-45pm as their customers leave to visit the pubs that are showing all the 3pm kick offs using the illegal IPTV streams sourced from beIN sports and some other football broadcast rights holders in Europe. Obviously, the pub landlords bitterly complained to Sky about this.
Further still, having paid in the region of £3 Billion for the rights to broadcast English Premier League games for the 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons, Sky and BT Sport (whose broadcasts are also being hijacked and re-broadcast by TV pirates) strongly complained to the EPL who reacted (presumably) by asking AlJazeera/beIN Sports (and others) to stop broadcasting all the 3pm games on a Saturday afternoon. The quick fix in part, solved the immediate problem, but AlJazeera, who it is guestimated, to have paid the English Premier League in the region of £600 Million for the 3 year contract (which includes the rights to broadcast all the 3pm kick offs on Saturdays) were quite understandably, miffed !
The introduction of the new Humax Satellite Receiver addressed this problem, because amongst several other security measures that help to protect the interests of the broadcaster, it gave them the ability to easily and quickly identify any account or subscription that is being used for IPTV Piracy and to deactivate it. The idea being that the cost of replacing Satellite Receivers makes IPTV piracy an unviable proposition.

I have a card but it is not working, even though the card is still valid, what might be the problem ?

October 21, 2014 - 08:51 pm

There are a number of things that may be the cause of the card not working. Far too many for me to go into detail here, but reply to the email that I have sent to you and I will try to help you sort out the problem.

I live in Uganda and would like to get beIN Sport HD, please advise.

October 30, 2014 - 07:05 pm

You are outside the official viewing area but as long as you are within either of the broadcast Satellite's signal footprint and you have a beIN Sports Receiver, Smart Card and a valid subscription, it is not technically possible for beIN Sports to stop you from viewing, but watching outside the official viewing area is against their terms and conditions of service.

This means that you cannot contact beIN Sport or use their support services.

You are however, free to contact us and use our support services.

I am from Ethiopia and I have bought beIN sport's full package from a dealer here. I have a problem to tune to European Cup qualification matches. What is wrong - you don't have the package ?

November 15, 2014 - 08:31 pm

Hi Endale,

When you say, "European Cup qualification matches" I am not absolutely sure which tournament or competition you mean. Do you mean the Champions League or Europa League ? If so, beIN Sports do have the broadcast rights and you should be able to view any of the matches that are being broadcast.

You have not mentioned that you are having a problem receiving certain channels so I presume that your satellite dish and equipment is working OK which leads me to believe that you actually mean the qualifying games for the 2016 Euros which are not being broadcast by beIN Sports.

The Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC) has the broadcast rights for the Euro qualifying games and these are available by subscription from ADMC who were the previous Premier League Rights Holders(I say this because you may still have their Satellite Receiver and Smart Card which can be used to watch these games - with a valid subscription)

I hope that this information helps

Dear Paul,

I am emailing you to ask you about my Dream Box. The weather is awful here the last few days. If I turn it off from the power, will I lose my programs ?

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

Hi Andreas,

I think that you mean beIN Sports Receiver. Sorry to hear that the weather is terrible. There is no problem power cycling the receiver. All the required settings are saved in the receiver's memory.

I have Aljazeera Card I used last year I need to reactivate it as soon as possible. Please do not hesitate for helping Card No xxxxxxxxxxx Humax Reciever.

November 28, 2014 - 09:12 pm

It is possible to use a Version 6 Al Jazeera card with a beIN Subscription and an approved Humax Receiver, but it must be paired with the receiver. However, it is no longer possible to have a beIN Sports' Subscription using one of the old Al Jazeera cards with 'any' generic Satellite Receiver. In order to help, I need some further information from you. I have emailed you.

Please do not post Smart Card or Receiver Serial numbers in the comments section. If we need the numbers from you, we will request them by email.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question. If I buy the full package including both original decoder and card, I just need to install it with a dish with lnb and I'm ready to go ? I'm from Sicily, will the broadcasting will be block ?

Thanks in advance

December 10, 2014 - 08:21 pm

The beIN Sports Receivers that we supply are pre-registered with the subscription and configured to connect to the Nilesat group of satellites. When connected to a dish/LNB setup receiving a signal from the Nilesat group, they work immediately. Do you receive a signal from the Nilesat group of satellites in Sicily ?

If you have any problems, I am available seven days a week. YOu can email or telephone me.

In Mauritania, how much one card ?

December 12, 2014 - 12:49 am

It is no longer possible to buy just a Smart Card by itself as each one is paired with the beIN Sports Receiver.

If you do have a beIN Sports Receiver that had a Smart Card, but the card has been somehow lost or damaged, we can supply a new card to you and complete the pairing process.

I have emailed you.

How much do you sell BeIN Sports Receiver ? Kindly quote the price if sold as a package together with the card.

Also, confirm any delivery charges to Dubai.

Hi Amudh,

I have emailed the quotation to you.
